Bravehearts

Opportunity

79% of child sexual abuse survivors knew their abuser. They weren’t strangers in white panel vans. They were neighbours. Family friends. Grandparents. Siblings. Parents.
People who could build trust - and then exploit it.
That’s grooming. And when faced with something so confronting, most people instinctively look away. They remove themselves from the issue entirely.

Solution

If we can’t recognise grooming, abusers seem as harmless as the children they’re targeting.
So we partnered with Bravehearts to help change that - by arming the public with the knowledge they need to see grooming for what it is.
Backed by the largest pro bono media campaign ever coordinated out of the Queensland market, this national campaign featured film spots directed by multi-award-winning filmmaker Leah Purcell in her commercial debut, alongside outdoor, radio and digital executions.
